Advanced guidelines for writing a research paper

Research is designed to show your competences in an individual, and the ability to transfer information in a convincing manner. While it is important that you do the paper before writing extensive research, the hard part is actually in the writing process. There are many common mistakes to avoid and even great writers have areas in which they can improve.

Here is a list of areas on which to focus during writing the research:

Evidence

Sometimes a teacher or professor will give you a specific topic, they want to write. In this case, you should read and highlight this topic in the eye, or provide examples with annotations that support the argument that has been granted. Other times, it is up to you to decide what to write. In this case, you have more free time to explore what topics are most interested in reading.

Make a list of possible thesis

As more research is done, you can start narrowing the list. Finally, you will end with one or two options that have the strongest proof, and from there you can choose which topic to write.

Introduction

The introduction is your chance to connect your players. Get their interest in the subject so they want to know more. There are several methods that you can implement for the introduction:

Tell a story – an interesting story humanizes the problem and helps the reader identify with the subject on a personal level.

Use an offer – sometimes there is perfect offer for your topic that gets the essence of your work. If you have this stock in stock, use it.

Use a statistics or fact – add credibility to your inquiries, and see your research done.

Thesis

A good thesis statement has a strong opinion about something. It is normally presented in a way that can be persistent or counter-attacking. For example: parents should monitor social media accounts of their children. A person might argue this strong statement very well in favor or against it.

An example of the weakness of a thesis statement: Some parents find it annoying that they have no control over the social media activities of their children. This statement is useful for the topic and can find its way to another part of the research work. However, it is not strong enough to qualify as a thesis statement. Its use of the qualification “some” makes it difficult to argue against.

Their thesis explanation should be made in the introductory paragraph of the research paper. It should be the last sentence of the first paragraph.

Show evidence

Once you have submitted your diploma thesis, they are ready to get with the support pieces in the meat of the paper. Each paragraph should have a topic set, where such a statement. After the exhibition, evidence will be presented as to why this statement is true based on the research that you have done. It will also explain why you think the research supports your thesis statement, which is the analytical part of your essay. Example:

Many children have no oversight of an adult their social media accounts (subject set). A study by XYZ in 2014 revealed that less than x% of parents monitor social media accounts of their children (documentation). This can pose a threat to the safety of children and parents should make a greater effort to be aware of the interactions of their children’s social media (analysis).

Transitions

For your research work to flow logic, it is important to be aware of transitions. The transitions are what leads the reader from one idea to another. The analytical statement in the section above-mentioned example can lead to a new topic theorem.

Example: The number of children who entices with strangers through social media too. This is a new subject set, but will be based on the analysis in the last section related to and helps to support the thesis explanation.

A weak transition could be: Many children use the Internet to play with their friends and should not be monitored. It is an independent and does not provide the thesis assertion or provide a strong transition.

Keep it interesting. To keep the reader’s interest, it is important to know how to present ideas:

  • Vary length and structure of your sentences.
  • Check if misused words. Use a thesaurus to find new ways to express the same concept.
  • Avoid clichés, stereotypes and generalizations.
  • Keep the language simple – avoid reaching beyond with the extended vocabulary.
  • Write clean phrases – avoid run-in phrases or too complicated explanations.

Graduation

The conclusion is where you wrap your search. It is a good place for you to ask questions or to suggest further steps or search for your topic. The reader is thinking about the future of this issue.

Let the time change

There is no substitute for the time in the editing. I do not think that the time you spend editing, but the amount of time that passed between the time of writing, the last set, and the time when you start the editing process. Your thoughts need time to solve. The longer you leave yourself to rest; it will be easier for you to identify holes in your argument, argument weak phrases or errors in the analysis. It will also be easier to recognize the grammar and punctuation problems.

To change

The best way to change is to read the card aloud. Reading turns out right from the right that the brain does when it reads. You can notice some grammatical errors and have a better feel for the card set. Do you have different sentence length and structure or read as long single-sentence? Are some of your sentences difficult to read? It probably means that you can go back and simplify the language. If the spelling and grammar are not your strengths, a friend will get it for you to read or use a editing application.
