Tale of Two Wastelands is a total conversion project that seamlessly merges Fallout 3 and its DLC into Fallout: New Vegas, allowing both games to be played in a single playthrough. TTW requires a clean Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas installation. They cannot be modded at all.

What does TTW add?
Well, this isn’t a comprehensive list, but TTW does add the following things: New weapon mods for some of Fallout 3’s and Fallout 3’s DLC weapons. These include some for the Chinese Assault Rifle, G3 Assault Rifle, Infiltrator, Chinese Pistol, . 22 LR Revolver and Combat Shotgun.
Does TTW work with Vortex?
Maybe other people are interested. Because i couldn’t get MO2 to run properly, i tried running TTW with several mods (both TTW specific mods and NV mods (bounty hunter series for example)) with Vortex. After a little trial and error, everything runs quite smoothly for me.
How long does TTW take to install?
The install will take a very long time (can be anywhere from 2-12 hours depending on your CPU, it took 3 hours on my i5 7500). It is recommended to leave your computer be and have any CPU-intensive applications closed during this time as to not overheat your CPU and cause the TTW installation to fail.
Does Fallout 3 support vortex?
Fallout 3 – Game of the Year Edition Nexus Mod Manager is no longer supported and Vortex is said to have all kind of problems with these older games etc. Gophers Videos are great but also dated too.

This is an easy fix. Right click on the Fallout A Tale of Two Wastelands.app and choose Show Package Contents. Follow the path Contents > Resources and copy system.reg, user.reg and userdef.reg and paste them into the same location of the app launcher that does not work.

Tale of Two Wastelands includes a large custom created Union Station, where you can take a train ride from DC to the Mojave. This train station is in a new DC worldspace called Columbus Circle. To get back to the Mojave, use the Union Station located in Freeside.
