WERCS bridges the gap between manufacturers, regulators and retailers. It collects the information you submit, tracks and matches it to various regulatory needs and other critical parameters. Then it creates and electronically transmits a wide variety of data sheets to retailers.
Does Walmart need wercs?
The list of retailers requiring WERCS certification to sell products continues to grow. Big box retailers like Walmart, Home Depot, Target, CVS, and Staples all ask for WERCS certification. Specific items in each store may vary for certification, but each asks for WERCS compliance on many of the products they sell.
Is wercs mandatory?
As a general rule, WERCS assessments are required on all products that are or contain: Batteries. Chemicals. Aerosols.
Does wercsmart offer ul secure connect (ulsc)?
A: Yes, WERCSmart offers an online tool called UL Secure Connect (ULSC). After submitting your product assessment, ULSC can derive hundreds of reports and data points about your product. You will also be able to download your WERCSmart data.
What if the UPC has already been registered with wercsmart?
IMPORTANT NOTE 2: If the UPC has already been registered with WERCSmart, you will not have to pay another fee; HOWEVER, you MUST register the product with WERCSmart, using the unique OMSID associated UPC.
